Jeff Remington, proprietor of Northside Neuromuscular Center, is a Licensed Massage Therapist, as well as a Certified Neuromuscular Therapist and Sports Massage Therapist.
Jeff has been practicing massage therapy in the Atlanta area since 1979. He holds an associate degree in the sciences from Kennesaw College.
He initially was trained in a private apprenticeship program from 1979-1982 in Sports Massage Therapy, Personal training and Yoga. In 1982 he enrolled in the Atlanta School of Massage were he received his certification in Massage Therapy in April of 1983. In May of 1983 he sat for the Florida Massage Therapy board examination later becoming a licensed Massage Therapist in Florida. Later in 1983 he became certified in the St. John Neuromuscular Massage Technique and began specializing in the care of the muscles of the Temperomandibular Joint (T.M.J.) He also started the first Sports Massage Therapy Certification program at the Atlanta School of Massage in 1984-85. In 1985-86 he was hired as the Atlanta Hawks resident Massage Therapist. Later in 1985 Jeff started the American School of Massage Therapy (Atlanta Campus) with a curriculum focused on Clinical, and Sports Massage Therapy. In 1985 Jeff also was hired as staff therapist at Dr. Solomon Cohen's office were he spent the next 10 years apprenticing in the care of the Temperomandibular Joint (T.M.J.).
Since 1995 Jeff has been in private practice continuing to spend a majority of his time focused on providing massage therapy for people suffering from the muscular side effects of T.M.J. dysfunction, whiplash, shoulder and hip injuries and chronic postural problems. He works in conjunction with Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, Dentists and Orthodontists to help clients achieve optimum health.
His passion in life is to help others to live more stress free lives by empowering them to understand how to make daily, quality decisions to do the next right thing for their bodies, minds and spirits.
